Is there a tablet PC (like the iPad) out there that works with a pen/stylus?

“Great Question” (1points)

I need a device for university to:
-access Wi-Fi internet
-view Powerpoint (.ppxt) lecture notes
-type notes
-be able to draw diagrams with a pen stylus (so some sort of touch screen or touch pad would be necessary)

The closest thing I’ve found to it is the HTC Flyer:

Can anyone please recommend some such device that uses a pen stylus?
Thanks, much appreciated.

The iPad?.

Any touch-screen works with a stylus (as opposed to your fingertip) if you use a capacitive stylus. Styluses (stylii?) are cheap. And you can make your own.

Google “capacitive stylus”.

Thanks guys.

I’ve done some more research and I think what I need is an app that lets me sketch pictures and quickly export them to a word document, or to even just handwrite notes. I’ve heard of an app called Vision Objects, which works with Android, so I guess I need a device that uses Android.

I had one of these and LOVED it!

@Kayak8 Whoa, the Motion tablets look great. What was the battery life like?

It wasn’t super but depended on what I was doing. 4 hours or so for using the stylus and perhaps less (more like 2) for straight up typing.

@julia999 I loved that I could write things and draw things (like taking notes at a conference) and convert it to typed text. The cover of the thing flipped over and was actually the keyboard.
