I have no clue. But isnt it the most annoying thing EVER?!? Like especially when demos can be up to 1.5–2GB i dont want to just sit around, let me play something while it downloads.
well, wierd thing is, some games, or demos, do continue, i think it has something to do with connecting to xbox live, i mean, when you’re downloading, you’re in no condition to play live right? i guess that’s the bottleneck
Okay, be specific. But in xbox games, its a broadband issue. It means it can’t do online play AND download games, and in some cases, just cant download games.
@fortris hmmm how about that. I dont really understand then. Do you think its possible that all games would cancel the dl but microsoft finally saw their problem and made it so new games wouldnt do this?
You can download and play at the same time. However, if you play multiplayer, it will stop the download and continue after you are done with multiplayer.
Personally I think it;s because the game reverts all of the bandwidth into playing the game online.
that way the download must be stopped.
You could just turn on “continue downloads after console is turned off” and then your downloads will always be downloaded for the next time you turn your xbox on.
