Does calling yourself the .NET professor qualify you to criticize the iPhone interface?

David Platt, Harvard professor of computer science and self-professed ".NET professor", claims buyers will be "frustrated" by the iPhone interface when it takes "5 or 6 clicks" to do something. This, I assume, without him ever using it himself. In other news, he calls a Playboy centerfold "it" in the same article.

no one has the right to judge the iPhone untill they have used it physically. I mena if you have never used or touched a product but have just seen a video of it, then who are you to trash-talk about it. I say everyone wait till the 29 th, use it at the Apple store and then comment about the iPhone

in other news.. my comment on the other iPhone question about the slow internet was based on info from a good friend of mine who is an Apple product specialist who has been using one for 6 months.. but I will clarify that I personally have never used it. At the same time I trust his judgment. that's not to say i don't want one.. but i have to agree that i think there are going to be some major disappointments.
