The closest I can think of (that is totally legal) is The Amazon App Store with it’s free app of the day. Then again, there are far more free Android apps than there are free iPhone apps.

@XOIIO that might be true but unfortunately it only encourages publishers to use harsher and harsher DRM and eventually developers stop bothering to produce stuff in the first place.
@Lightlyseared… which only inconveniences legitimate users since pirates have no problem getting around DRM while developers are too out of touch with reality to know that. Which leads to SOPA, but that is another topic.
