Kardamom Your welcome! I think there should be more films like that being made today geared for children. They probably think it would be too slow moving for today’s kids but I disagree. If well done these stories have such great lessons to instill in children. The whole idea of loving something and nurturing it and then setting it free. Its analogy to parenthood is so poignant isn’t it?

jca My little sister loved Lassie too! One time she was watching the show and Lassie was thought to be dead. She cried inconsolably!! She went on and on! “Lassie!!! oh Lassie!” We had to explain that Lassie was ok, Lassie wasn’t dead. Just wait and see. When she saw in the later scene that Lassie was indeed alive she almost died from joy!! I will always remember that.
