I’m Jewish so the day of the Epiphany was not celebrated in my house, but yesterday I wished anyone who celebrates it a peaceful and joyous day. My husband used to get gifts on the Epiphany when he was growing up, they called it three kings day. My Russian girlfriend actually does gifts on the 7th. I wonder how many Christians even know or realize the 12th day of Christmas is the 6th and also the Epiphany? I would guess all practicing Catholics now? And, many Europeans do something to acknowledge the day I think. But, Americans seem to not even know the day is happening, except like I said the Catholics seem more aware. Not that I judge it. I only bother with the “big” Jewish holidays, the more minor ones I am sometimes completely unaware they are happening.
My latest epiphany is really acknowledging that my girlfriend who acheives so much does it because she keeps moving forward and completing things. I know this sounds like an obvious thing, but I have decided I need to really do the same.
