Anyone still making goals or New Year's Resolutions?

I seem to be slow formulating my goals for the year. Is it too late?

I feel myself swimming toward them, but I’m not there yet.

Any day can be the first day of a new year.
So, no, it isn’t too late; in fact, you are perfectly in time!

Thanks for the encouragement, Ro. Have you made any?

That happens sometimes when you are in a transition period of your life. Sometimes you don’t even realize it but you feel a little adrift. You have to just trust yourself and cast about for a bit. Being open to possibilities and new things is good. You probably need a change. And like rebbel says, it’s never to late or the wrong time to set a new goal. But then, I’m sure you know this. :)

@marinelife I have not yet put it in action, but I have a few (quit smoking again, start getting my administration and finances in order, start finding out if I have a singing voice).
But one I started with already (some months ago): tidying rooms and cabinets and basement.

Working on not being bitter, not panicking and losing a few more pounds.

Every new year I make some resolution, usually in conjuntion with organizing and simplifying my messy life. I have yet to make use of a pocket organizer/calender past January.
This year I decided to change it up and resolve to “Relax” more. Not physically (not possible!!) but mentally… like give it a rest on all expectations of what should happen. I’ve decided that if I instead just observe, I might learn. Just relax and go with the flow. Less disappointment = more satisfaction. We’ll see!!!

Heck, it’s barely one week into January :) There’s still 98% of 2012 left…not too late at all.

Anytime is a good time to set goals.

No, and I never have. Why should I change? I’m perfect. Everyone else should change, specifically to accommodate my godlike status.

Joking. Lol. But as @YARNLADY says, I never ever felt that some specific time of the year was needed to better myself. I just do it, or try to, whenever I feel I should.

I haven’t made one and I don’t really intend to. I think it’s great to have goals and to try to make an occasion of a new year, but in my experience the eventfulness and expectation of the whole thing actually makes it less likely that I’ll stick with it.
I have some things I’d like to start doing/stop doing/changing, but I’m trying not to think of them as ‘new year’s resolutions’ so much as just general changes for the better.
