On Thursday I made a brave decision to cut down my part time framing job to just one day a week, as my harp teaching work is – touch wood – growing. It was a nerve-wracking decision as the framing work, albeit poorly paid, is guaranteed regular work, not dependent on school term-times, or the whims of individual pupils.
Within 24 hours three great things happened:
I was passed a wedding job (these are rediculously well-paid for only a few hours work) from another harpist,
A harp company who have seen that I’m doing a lot with a particular type of harp at the mo have offered to send me one of theirs gratis to compare it,
And a music festival in the area had found my pages on fb and want to know if there’s any way we can work together! Whoop whoop!
