Depends on what one decides the type is. If you think of it as a muscleman thug and a short comedian… I think there are some but they aren’t coming to mind immediately. There’s probably at least one Jackie Chan film like that. If you think of de Vito as a comical sidekick, then there are droves of those, especially in westerns, going back to Shakespeare’s Henry IV and Falstaff and certainly earlier. If you think of it as a pair of opposites, then The Odd Couple comes to mind.
