When I was in my late teens I took a trip with my dad to Cancún. It was one of the funnest trips I had ever had. When he asked me where I wanted to go, I said I want to go to a country that has a drinking age 18 or younger. I didn’t drink, but I wanted to be able toget into clubs without a hassle. It was great! Weather was good, pool area at the hotel was beautiful, beach has air conditioned sand, we took a couple days via local bus to visit some ruins. Absolutely loved it. Cancún is more commercial and Americanized now, but I still like it, I would especially love it if I were a teen again. The deals are very good for Cancún, there are many of them. Mine have not been a package deal, except once I did Club Med there.
Recently I took a trip to Stowe, VT, and I wish I had had more time there. Lots of little tours you can take. Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, how cheese is made, how maple syrup is made, history tour of the Von Trapps (that was our favorite) and we had good food the entire trip. But, this was not a package deal trip.
Cruises are fantastic if you want a no brainer vacation. So much is taken care of for you, and you don’t have to change hotels to see a lot of different cities.
My parents just got back from a tour in China, and said it was the best vacation of their life, and they have travelled a lot.
