Neil-med sinus rinse is a good method to help keep the sinuses irrigated and clear of congestion. But..there are many, many, potential causes. I am extremely sensitive to wood smoke and suspect some issues with gluten intolerance as well. If this is a chronic condition start with eliminating dairy products and gluten. ( Wheat, rye, oats, which includes not only breads, pastas and crackers, but many hidden sources of gluten in prepared foods. )
Get checked out for seasonal allergies such as Oak pollens, weeds, grasses etc. and familiarize yourself with your areas high allergens and their seasons.
Trouble shooting sinus problems is an effort in detective work, but, well worth it.
Oh yes…Mucinex is great too as @SpatzieLover mentioned, but it won’t cure allergies, only thin the secretions to help keep true bacterial sinus infections away.
Good luck, I feel your misery. My neighbor set fire to a huge brush pile yesterday and I ran for my cave. lol
