I have noticed a rise in old fashioned names in young children where I work (sports centre that runs kids clubs). Recently I have met/heard of children under 10 years old called Wilfred, Agatha, Margo, Elspeth, Margaret, Meg, Edward, Alberto, Freddie, Harriet, Grace (although I don’t think this name ever really went out of fashion), Annabel, Theodore, Giles, William, George, Hal, Beatrice, Archie, Alice, Ralph, Gabriel, Madeleine, Charles, Alfie, Helena, Helen, Oscar, Scarlett, Jeremy, Angus, Hamish, Rupert, Hugo, Arthur, Eli, Jonah, Laurence, Verity, Clara, Florence, Victoria, Ruby, Martha, Evie, Benedict, Stirling, Rosalind, Bertie…. the list goes on.
Edit: Also, my tortoise is called Agnes!
