I used to take pride in fitting everything into a carry-on, but now that I have to check it all the time, I figured, screw it, I am getting something bigger. I needed a new suitcase anyway, mine is over 15 years old, and starting to fall apart.

I wanted something very lightweight, and a spinner style. I bought one today, it is the semi-hard kind, but one thing I am not sure I will like is it is the kind that you put half your clothes on one side, and half on the other. When I had one of those years and years ago I think I was not very keen on it. What’s your opinion on this type of suitcase? Should I maybe exchange it for one that you put all your clothes on one side and then close the top? I guess the larger the cae, maybe it is better half and half so you don’t have to dig as deep for a piece of clothing on the bottom? Just guessing the logic behind it.
