Just a question about swollen lymph nodes, these are in my groin, are they common post partum or does it mean my body is fighting an infection?
I don’t have a fever and feel fine.
I went to the Dr yesterday but she just dismissed it but now another one has come up…. Anyone know if it could just be a common occurrence?
I did have an epidural.

Swollen lymph nodes indicate an underlying problem, get a second opinion pronto

I pulled this off a site:

“The cause for enlarged lymph nodes in groin (femoral or inguinal lymph nodes) could be an injury or infection in the foot, leg, groin, or genitals. The possibility of testicular cancer, lymphoma, or melanoma cannot be ruled out.”

@tan253 This is a great question for your doctor. You said “She dismissed it”. Have you already had tests for a UTI? Have you had any symptoms?

From your past questions, I happen to know, you are health anxious.

If everything seems fine, take time to rest and worry about your new wee one. Get sleep when you can as often as you can.

Any swollen lymph nodes that don’t go away or return to normal size over about a month should be checked by your doctor. from WebMD

Give yourself time to heal.

Hey @spatzielover I had a UTI test yesterday, as I feel as though I have one, but I don’t – it’s just weird they have just come up and one is so big!
I guess I should rest and see how they are tomorrow.
Just so scary when you don’t know what’s going on with your body!

Your body is healing. If you continue to feel as though you have a UTI, get a second test in a day or so. My test came back as though I had none, but I insisted on meds because I was very symptomatic. It took two rounds of antibiotics to rid me of the UTI after I gave birth.

It’s also common to feel some of the UTI symptoms due to the amount of fluid you’re flushing out.

Just get good sleep.

Congrats on your little one!
