You seem to have a number of different genres mixed together there, which makes it hard to get a reading. For example, the Lord of the Rings movies would be considered classic examples of what’s known as “high fantasy,” meaning that it doesn’t take place in any world we recognize as our own, altough there may be similarities. Movies in this genre would include Willow, Conan the Barbarian, and Beastmaster. The lack of a familiar setting is what sets it apart from so-called swords’n’sandals movies like Ben Hur or Spartacus.
However, you also include Harry Potter which, while it may technically be a variant of high fantasy, is more usually categorized as “urban fantasy” of the style made popular by author Charles de Lint, where fantasy elements occur in very familiar urban and/or modern settings. Movies in this genre would include Sorcerer’s Apprentice (the one with Nicolas Cage) or the recent Smurfs live action film.
