Adobe Flash substitution for Linux?

So Flash just suddenly stopped working on my computer recently. Did Adobe really pull back to only support G Chrome? For #$*&% sake. What’s a good alternative? Gnash? I’m running Ubuntu 11.04 LTS and use Mozilla usually…but I might switch over to Chromium…

Bah, Gnash is maybe the only alternative, and I’m not sure it’s very good.

Flash is really a POS, and I welcome its forthcoming demise.

Thanks for the reply @bolwerk, and I agree.

At least you can console yourself that Flash is a POS on Windows too these days!

HTML5, CSS3, Javscript – Flash is on its deathbed.

Gnash is really bad. I don’t think the flashpocalypse has already started (it still works for me on Ubuntu 12.04), but when the time does come, it might be good to consider how often you really use Flash. If only for YouTube, take a look at http://www.youtube.com/html5
