I HONESTLY don’t remember. my parents weren’t too strict about watching rated movies so it wasn’t a big deal when i did see my first one. BUT, I do remember the first R rated movie I saw in the theater, because I remember being excited to flash my license to verify my age. It was in 2005, I was 16, the movie was Hostel , I wasn’t scared at all, and I thought the movie was boring.
omg my favorite movies when i was like 3–4 years old were Peter Pan and Pretty Woman!
i didnt understand she was a hooker until i was like 10 or 11 lmfao
I think it was Fatal Attraction. I was like 8. Chances are I saw violent R movies before then, but I don’t think they had as much of an impact as sex in an elevator and boiled bunnies. My parents never really cared what I watched—I had a TV in my room from the time I was in 2nd grade.
The fly and the night of the living dead (remake) whenever they were in the theaters.. I was about 7 and went with the summer care councelers instead of follow that bird an some other kid movie. My parents didnt know. I thought it was pretty awsome.
My parents were very strict and would not let me watch much. I saw Nightmare on Elm street when I was 13 and that was only because it was my birthday and ALL of my friends wanted to go see it. It scared the crap out of me but I have loved horror movies ever since.
It was so long ago I can’t remember my first R rated film, but I certainly recall my first X rated one, Midnight Cowboy. That would have been 1969, making me 16 and a criminal (I used fake ID). I recall it was initially rated X and was rerated R shortly thereafter, but I believe it had the big X when I saw it. Great film, extraordinary acting by a then unknown Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman in only his second role (The Graduate being his first).
This will date me. It was Halloween 1974 when I saw “The Groove Tube” with my mother. I was the only kid in the theatre and my mom was a bit embarressed by how much sexual content there was. I still.had another 6 weeks before I would turn 13 so I loved it.
I don’t know if it was my first but when I was little I use to watch Childs Play. I’m not even sure how old I was when I would watch it though, def little.
I couldnt tell you the first one i saw, but i saw quite a few when i was young with my parents. As ezraglenn said it was usually a disaster. Watching a movie that has a lot of cursing and/or nudity with your parents when your young is mad awkward.
Obviously not when i was real young, but i watched Grandmas Boy with my parents. Man that whole “YOU CAME ON MY MOM!” scene was really awkward cause i was laughing historically yet felt like i shouldnt be in their company.
