If its someone I know I will call back, message or not.
Otherwise, I’ll call back if they leave a message that makes me want to call them back (e.g. not a sales or something).
Sometimes I’m waiting on an important call and then I will call back any missed calls. E.g. I’m waiting to see if I got a job I interviewed for. But this is rare.
I also almost never leave messages. Something like half or more of my friends just don’t check voicemail. I know one person who gets mad every time her mom leaves her a message. I think that’s extreme, but a lot of people don’t like voicemail. If they don’t pick up, I usually send a text. But that only works because 99% or more my phone calls are to cell phones. I don’t think I’ll every have a land line again.
@Coloma I’ve never had that happen to me. But, I suppose its because I don’t have a land line and I usually just called the stored numbers on my phone. Still, I don’t see it as controlling… compulsive maybe…
