For school I generally wake up at 7:30 if my first class is at 9 or later. I like to have plenty of time in the morning so I don’t feel rushed and can read during breakfast.
It’s tempting to sleep in if I have all afternoon classes, but that would mean I’d have to stay up later to have an equivalent amount of awake time to get work done, and I hate doing work at night, I end up dreaming math which is the most restless sleep imaginable. Plus, the dining hall stops serving breakfast before 10. So I discipline myself to get up early anyway.
On weekends during the school year if I don’t have a lot of work I need to do, I usually let myself sleep in really late on Saturday morning, because gosh darn it, I earned it.
When I’m out of school my sleep schedule goes to hell, haha. This morning I slept in till 11 (that’s exceptionally late for me, but still). I’m gonna try to make myself go to bed at midnight so I can start trying to fix the disaster that is my sleep schedule.
Except under extreme circumstances when I’m piled up with work, I always go to bed at least 8 hours before I have to be up. Don’t like to deprive my body of anything it wants.
