I just remembered a few more:
Bottle Shock a good movie for anyone interested in wine or wine-making. A much better movie than Sideways, because it’s actually about wine, and not whining.
The Search for John Gissing A bickering married couple has moved to London for the husband’s new job. John Gissing, a British employee at the new branch of the company, has been assigned to help get them set up in their new city. Things go awry, but things are not always as they seem. Or are they?
Love Actually A large cast of seemingly dis-similar folks are living out their lives, some happily, some unhappily, some in limbo. But there is a connection between all of their lives. Some of this is heart-breaking, some of it is life affirming, and lots of it is hilarious. This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I put it in the top 5!
And if you like romance and/or British period pieces, I would also highly recommend Becoming Jane Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy are luscious!
