That Lana Del Ray was horrible on Saturday Night Live… she may be pretty to look at, but she is not a natural performer. She literally looked like someone’s puppet.

I heard that Shania Twain doesn’t sound too great live.

I know that Cheryl Cole is shocking live. Someone should be honest with that girl and tell her to stick to shampoo ads!

This is sort of a matter of opinion, but I saw Fiona Apple live a few weeks ago, and I thought she sounded awful.

Carly Ray Jepsen ( no idea how she spells her last name). Tone deaf in her song and tone deaf live.

Most current singers couldn’t sing their way out of a paper bag if you ask me. Miley Cyrus is simply awful. Listening to Lady Gaga is pretty painful, same with Nikki Minaj (though I find it painful to listen to her music on the radio). Fergie is pretty bad live as well.

@livelaughlove21 Have you seen Lacy Gaga live? Whether or not you like her music or even enjoy the sound of her voice, you can’t deny that she is talented and puts on a show that, whilst not to everyone’s taste, is a pretty cool live performance. I certainly wouldn’t say she was bad live even if you wouldn’t choose to listen to her normally. I agree about Miley Cyrus though, I saw her a couple of years ago and she just came across as a stroppy little madam for the whole show!

@Leanne1986 Lady Gaga is definitely a performer before she’s a singer. And it’s probably not fair to judge based on vocals alone, because her shows are entertaining for a completely different reason. I just don’t believe she has much vocal talent. She’s an entertainer for sure though. I like some Lady Gaga stuff on the radio, but her personal style is a little too out there for me. I’d probably never pay for a ticket to see her live, but I’m sure she puts on a great show. I also like her political views. :)

Sorry but what do you guys expect? Miley is good live and so is gaga. Selena Gomez is the one who sucks.

@minnie19 I’ve heard Miley sing live and she’s not very good at all. I don’t like Gaga’s music or her as a person in general, so I’m not going to pass judgement on her performing. I’ve heard she’s good live, though.

I heard her too maybe it was her bad day. I just dont think an artist should be faultless live. What most matters is imagination and talent. So if she/he is making good music then live don’t really matter. What I cant stand is those artists who don’t even write their own songs, and also suck live. Selena is an example…

Someone who writes great songs but can’t sing should be a songwriter, not a singer. If Miley can write her own music, but can’t sing her way out of a paper bag, then she shouldn’t be singing it. And I’ve seen her live on multiple occasions. Simply not a very talented vocalist. I can’t comment on Selena Gomez, as I haven’t heard her live, but I think the majority or those Disney-stars-turned-singers are a joke to the music industry.

@mangeons I didn’t mind Miley’s singing live (I can’t remember much, good or bad, about it) but I thought her stage presence was horrendous. It seemed like she really didn’t want to be there and, considering the amount of kids in the audience, I felt she could have been a lot more gracious. I left with the opinion that she was a spoilt, stroppy little madam! Maybe she was having a bad day though, we’re all entitled to those.

Well what if they want to sing their own songs? What if they have the artist charisma. What if they CAN sing? Miley certainly can. Singers don’t have to be always flawless live to be singers.

@minnie19 No one expects singers to be flawless, but expecting them to be able to carry a tune is quite acceptable. You’re really defensive about Miley Cyrus. It’s not as if you are Miley Cyrus. It’s not a crime to have a differing opinion, you know. You’re allowed to think she’s amazing just like we’re allowed to think she’s a less-than-par singer live.
