Where is the best place to stay in Victoria BC?

The Sylvia Hotel. It's on the park and very cool and pretty and old and clean.

Everyone I know saves up their duckets to go to the Empress for romantic weekends, and they rave about it:

Is there golf near the Empress?

Most of the golf courses are 15-20 minute drives away from the Empress- but they have shuttles that serve the courses, which makes it convenient if you are taking the ferry over. Bear Mountain is a Nicholas course and is supposed to be phenomenal, and Olympic View is also supposed to be great. There's also a Titanic artifact exhibit up there now, too. I mean, nothing says romance quite like the Titanic, right ; ) Good luck!
