We might want to consider a distinction between lurve and points. I probably get about twenty lurve for every point I get. If there was a distinction between points and lurve, then this question might come up fewer times. It should probably also be mentioned in the FAQ that points will slow down after at some point after 5K due to this limit on the amount of points you can get from a person, even if lurve is unlimited.
Of course, it also seems to be a rite of passage that people ask this question. It would be interesting to look at how many points a person has at the time they notice this phenomenon. Although, I believe some of us researched it first, and thus did not find in necessary to ask it.
Actually, I think there should be a party thrown when someone asks this question. It’s kind of a rite of passage, and in a way, it would be a mechanism for someone to throw themselves their own party.
@PhiNotPi Congratulations! What this means is you now have enough points to notice the disjuncture between lurve and points. You have graduated to a new level of jellydom. Not only that, but you are probably one of the fastest, if not the fastest to achieve the status of moderator. You have accomplished great things!
