I made a document full of my favorite quotes long time ago and pw protected it because I am paranoid like that. NOW it seems i cannot remember the password (though that doesn’t make sense to me! i never forget these things!) and it won’t let me access the file. is there ANYTHING i can do? any freeware and/or software that will help me unlock it? or am i doomed? thanks to all who help!

i guess i should have mentioned it isn’t even read only. i have a pw on both things so i cannot open the file until i type the password twice. i do know that my read only and to edit file password is the same. since i cannot open the file, i won’t be able to save it as a rtf, thanks for trying though!

i am curently using a demo version of this to see if it can crack the password. if so, it will show me the first 2 letters and if i want more then i have to buy it. i am hoping the first two letters will give me enough of a hint. will report back if the shareware works.
