I would be pretty shocked, since I’ve never heard of them.

A president is really a glorified pawn for the congressmen. Hell ,even the VP has the position of breaking a tie. Rosanne? The power is on the hill and Rosanne would be such a divisive figure she would get herself powned.

I really like Jill Stein, I’d be thrilled.

I think there’s a lot more to a politician than a list of positions that he or she claims to hold. I’m pretty liberal, and I oppose Obama’s drone war, so I imagine my positions line up more with Stein’s than they do with Obama’s… but that doesn’t mean she would be a better president than Obama.

I think Obama is a genuinely good, honest guy, who is capable of making difficult decisions rationally and empathetically with a team of advisors. I would hope that Stein (or Barr, who I know nothing about) would embody the same qualities in the White House, but I don’t think they’ve ever been tested, so I would be a little nervous.

What about Gary Johnson? He seemed to do ok in New Mexico and has not yet sold out to our corporate overlords.

My views line up a lot more with Stein’s than they do Obama’s but I would have similar concerns as @Qingu . That said, I’d rather see either of them win than Romney…

I’d be happy if Stein won. But if Roseanne won, I don’t think things would end well, honestly.

I’m not fully on board with Jill Stein but I support her basic positions significantly over Obama’s (and like all politicians I’d really like greater detail on what, how, and why). At the same time most of the issues she highlights are far beyond her power to get enacted in a 4 year term and highly questionable/doubtful as to whether they should all be enacted so quickly even if it were possible. So what it would come down to is which hand full of issues would she focus on getting, hammered out, passed, and tweaked and to what extent she’d be willing to compromise.
