How would you describe Romanticism as it pertains to the genre of photography?

Is a lot of black and white used? Deep contrasts? Dramatic lightning?

Also what kinds of shots complete a wedding photographers portfolio?

Interesting, I haven’t tried a lot of different lighting techniques for a Romanticism style. But I will and let you know.

I don’t think she is a capital “R” Romantic, I’m not an art history expert or even good amateur. But the first name which comes to mind is Gertrude Käsebier.

I know that Romanticism was focused on ideas of the “sublime.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sublime_%28literary%29
So, maybe you can make some connections using that definition.
