Ok, I have work tomorrow so I already shared the obligatory special moments and gatherings with friends and families and come 12 midnight, it’s just me and the SO and a bottle of champagne and I just thought, why not a good horror movie as well-? Thanks for your suggestions….Happy New Year-!

I would recommend Triangle

I’d have to go with CSPAN showing the US House of Representatives. That’s about as horrible a scene as I can think of.

Seriously – The Shining. It’s an old one, but it’s psychologically a nightmare, and you get lots of good red blood at the end.

Try the original George Romero (1968) Night of the Living Dead.

Have plenty of snacks on hand.

I still love The Shining.

Sure is entry level horror in here….
Disregard the above and check out these awesome films
Nekromantik
Man bites Dog
Mausoleum
Nail Gun Massacre
and other stuff. I don’t know, I’m not IMDB.

I am prejudiced because they were both made in my back yard, but if you like scary croc movies watch Rogue or Black Water. They are both real enough (especially if you live in the NT of oz) that they are very scary!!! They are both a couple of years old though so perhaps difficult to find, but I bet Piratebay or one of those type places would have them.

Let Me In

It tells the story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who develops a friendship with a vampire child in Los Alamos, New Mexico in the early 1980s.

^^^^^ That was so funny! OMG!
“Dead and breakfast” and “Otis” are two other campy horror flicks worth watching. Hilarious!
Oh…and the new ” Cabin in the woods” too!

The Postman. It’s a post-apocalyptic Kevin Costner flick set in 2013.

The Road – I found the book especially horrific (in a good and thought provoking way) but the film is okay too.

I’ve heard Sinister is pretty good.
