@bookish1 I don’t drink coffee, but I started coca cola as a toddler. It was treat in my bottle. Growing up I was allowed to drink as much soda as I wanted at home, and I steadily had a nice level of caffeine. I quit caffeine from about ages 32 to 42 with some off and on cheating the last few years, but I think I am going back to not drinking it anymore.
Alcohol also is a thing adults drink/do, and I don’t do that either. Maybe because my parents rarely did either. My dad drank coffee in the morning, but I never saw him do it much of my life, because his morning schedule was so different than mine, and my mother doesn’t drink coffee. I think your statement reinforces what I always say, the behavior that is modeled in front of us is what we think adults do. Parents who want their kids to have a differnt behavior than themselves need to make the change themselves or odds are agaist it,
