Just got a cedar bird feeder: should I put some kind of protectant on it before I hang it outside?
I just bought a new cedar bird feeder. I am concerned that the wind, rain, snow and sun will rot the wood. Should I put a sealant or protectant on the wood before I hang the feeder outside? What type should I use? Or should I just hang it out “as is” and let the chips fall where they may?
