Is it beginning to worry any of you that N. Korea's young leader is threatening to use Nuclear Weapons?

“Great Question” (1points)

I know that whatever (their Nuclear weapons) range is limited, but they could hit Japan, S. Korea (+ our military bases in S. Korea), Russia, China, & Alaska. Do any of you think that this young man would be so foolish to actually push the button to launch Nuclear weapon(s)? Or is he just running off at the mouth to make himself sound more powerful?

No.

At some point, some idiot or psychopath in charge of them will fire off a missile one day, and it will cause untold misery and destruction when that happens. But so do floods, hurricanes and cyclones, every year. At no time is this “the end of the world”, and it won’t be when the next nuke is fired, either.

It is also very unlikely to lead to World War III, either.

More than likely if he gets close to actually ordering a missile strike he’ll be deposed in a coup by some of his own military leaders, who are not, after all, fools.

What effect could worrying about it possibly have on the situation? Even our votes cannot determine what will happen.
