When looking at a new recipe, if there is one particular ingredient called for are you totally in with that recipe?

Cream cheese. If it calls for cream cheese, I’m in! I even tried jalapeno poppers, which I thought I’d hate, because it called for cream cheese. (Man, those jalapeno poppers are delicious, like addictive delicious!) I have never found anything with cream cheese in it that I didn’t like.

Usually for me it is a marriage of certain ingredients. Like, for example, shortbread which calls for flour, sugar and butter. Lobster Newburg, which has the irriresistable combo of lobster and cream.

If I see a recipe that calls for white beans, cauliflower or chipotle chilies, I’ll most likely want to check it out further.

I’m actually making curried roasted cauliflower and white bean soup today : )

Horseradish in any form.

I freely admit to being a culinary masochist.

the penchant for strong drink doesn’t hurt either . . .

We have become enamored with mint flakes seasoning.

@Blondesjon I love anything with wasabi in it.

I have to take anything with sour cream in it seriously.
