Yes, I found similar through several Android Apps and they have saved (and continue to do so) on my monthly prescriptions.

Since they didn’t ask for any money, I figured I had nothing to lose.

How about your personal information, @Buttonstc? Any indication that they sell it?

They didn’t require any personal info from me since these were part of Android applications.

My only regret is that I wish I had known about these sooner :)

The drug companies are taking way too much of our hard earned money as is. I don’t see any of them in the poorhouse :)

I haven’t seen the TV ad mentioned above.

I also asked my pharmacist about this and she said that these were similar, in principal, to any other type of presc. discount program (such as through insurance company or workplace) where the arrangement is made with large groups.

In the case of these card programs, the main difference is that all the people using it have no affiliation at all with each other (unlike being insured by the same carrier or members of a union, etc.)

I must admit to being very skeptical initially when I checked out some of these Apps, but since it required nothing of me other than presenting the membership number at the pharmacy, I couldn’t see a downside.

And for me, there hasn’t been any that I can tell.

I think if I were getting the same presc. benefits from the Electricians Union (for instance) they would have much more of my personal info (address, phone no., DOB, etc) due to my Union membership than they can glean from any App which I download to my tablet (since the Google Market only has my associated email address and SN, not my RL name)

The amount of money I’ve saved has been enough to pay for my Tablet many many times over so it’s not just nickels and dimes.

So far, I have no complaints at all and I’ve been using it for well over a year by now.

Walmart has a 4 dollar prescription program also.
