Of the women I know, I think most of them are fairly aware, and probably close to accurate about how pretty they are. Well, I would use the word attractive not pretty I think. They know what parts of them look very good, and what parts not so great. Pretty I associate with the face, attractive is more the total package body, hair, style, how she carries herself.
I think men find most women prettier than how the woman perceives herself. Many men are easily duped by hair, make-up, and clothing. Some women are just gorgeous naturally, others can package themselves to be very attractive.
Also, I think women are more accurate about how they look in their mid 20’s to mid 40’s. When we are young we don’t know how great we look. Just being young and youthful is pretty right out of the gate. Finally, when we hit 25 and enough people have complimented us that we start to believe it finally. Then, 45 comes and suddenly we notice everything going south, mplus some wrinkles, things ache. Oy.
Lastly, isn’t personality a big part of pretty? Once you get to know someone their beauty shows. I am not even talking inner beauty, I mean they physically are more beautiful.
PS: One last thing after the last thing. I think the majority of women are pretty.
