“Great Question” (1points)

My wife is retiring next year and we are looking at moving to southern California. What are some nice, little towns we could look at? My wife attended UCLA way back in the early 80’s so we are a little familiar with the area. We are trying not to spend a fortune though.

Ventura, Ojai, Newbury Park, Calabasas, Agoura, Westlake Village. These are all pretty pricey though.

Santa Barbara is beautiful. Goleta, outside of Santa Barbara is nice. Or Carpinteria. How about Santa Ynez/Solvang, or Los Olivos?

Maybe Port Hueneme or Oxnard.

Prices all over Southern California are pricey. Do you want to be near the water or inland? How far from things in LA or Orange County?

@zenvelo We would like to be within two hours or so of a beach. We don’t really care about being close to LA.

Pismo Beach is very nice. Also Solvang (Scandinavian town) is fun to visit.

In Goleta you can ride a beach cruiser bike to the beach, and UCSB is handy so there are lots of cultural events available.

Temecula

I was going to suggest temecula when I said murrieta but after I got the link I forgot to add it in. Temecula is nice though, I live right at the edge of temecula & murrieta. : )
