Could you help me solve the puzzle of the mysterious tulips?

“Great Question” (5points)

I recently moved into a rather charming neighbourhood. The houses are sweet and tucked together quite neatly. The front garden is a small square of grass outside the front door. As is the properties in line with my home. The other day a friend cut my small square of grass. Trimmed the sides and pulled a few weeds. This morning I woke up to two beautiful pots filled with colorful tulips. They were placed neatly along the side of my garden (not the side of the other persons garden). The pots were elongated in shape to fit the side of my garden parameters. They are exquisite, and have a few other pretty plants alongside them in their pot. Where did they come from?

Who can I ask? I have not spoken to anyone not even my neighbors? I am totally puzzled.

I really would like to solve this mystery but how? Any suggestions appreciated but you may have fun with this question too if you wish!

Well, at least they weren’t burning paper bags of dog crap left on your doorstep, you should feel welcomed to the neighborhood. ( The idea is you stomp on the bag to put out the fire). Maybe make some baked goods and take them to the neighbors? Luck to you in your new neighborhood.

Do you rent? Perhaps your landlord does this at his buildings every spring.

LornaLove's avatar

@glacial I do rent yes. Well that could be it then? A lovely thought I must say.

Well that’s even nicer if it’s the landlord. He had to force those last Fall if they’re in pots.

You can use them as a reason to go door to door and get to know your neighbors. Introduce yourself and explain your mystery. What a nice mystery to have!

What about the friend who cut the grass? Maybe it was a last minute addition to complete the job and a housewarming gift.

I agree with @ZEPHYRA
Most likely.

I’d guess a friend who cares about you and wanted to give you a treat.

Are there garden gnomes in your neighbour’s garden? They do this sort of thing when no one is about.

I think it was my neighbor, which is so odd really. As when she is out in the garden she doesn’t say hello or smile or anything? I saw her today with a packet fiddling in the garden. How strange?

She may be very shy. Who knows, a friend in the making perhaps? Someone who gives you beautiful tulips has got to be good.

@Bellatrix The other day I saw her planting some other plants in the same area. So I went off to buy her a lovely hanging plant which I left near her doorway. (In case she fell over it). It was promptly put back on my door way side!! Oh well, we can never say what one is thinking can we.

Oh… how strange. You tried. You can’t do more than that. At least you get to enjoy beautiful tulips. They don’t do well here. It’s too hot where I am. Such pretty flowers.
