For antique car buffs, what is the make and year of the car in the background of this picture?

“Great Question” (2points)

The house was in the Bronx and belonged to my paternal grandfather. The present-day-family is trying to figure out when he and his family moved in. Possibly in the 1920’s? All opinions are welcome.

Looks a heck of a lot like this 1930 Packard.

Husband thinks it could be a 1929 Cord Cabriolet or maybe a 1920 Willys Knight. Not sure because he can’t see the whole car. I say it looks like the car Pop’s use to take us to school in. Just kiddin!
Ummm! @thorninmud picture looks like that could be the car.

Another pic of the whole car.

@thorninmud: What an amazing piece of research. It seems to be the car. I, my sister and my cousins, whom I almost reckon by the dozens, will be delighted, particularly since it helps date the occupation of that house by the Finkel progenitors.

The earliest memory (1946–47?) I have of our family car, purchased by my father, Ben Finkel’s oldest son, was also a Packard (with running boards, I think). Maybe it was the manufacturer of choice in the family.
