Most mold won’t kill you or even hurt you. As others have noted, the dining experience may be less than satisfactory, but I suspect that your gas and other subsequent discomfort are unrelated to the mold itself.
Most sailors in wooden ships of the time routinely ate moldy, rotting and weevil-infested food (which got worse as the voyage progressed) within a few weeks of leaving the harbor with fresh supplies. Since they had no refrigeration, inadequate storage facilities, and lived in a constantly damp marine environment with no sanitation, you can imagine (or you can read about) how bad it was. It wasn’t usually the food that killed them. More likely the water.
