It is probably better to eat more often and choose healthy meals to speed up your metabolism. Our bodies grab onto sparse meals and store them for later, which turns to fat stores. If you had a chicken breast how was it cooked? Was the skin removed? (since that is very high in fat). Also if you ate yoghurt was it fat free?
The basic rules are:
Cooking methods – avoid frying and choose lean meat with no fat or skin.
Frequency – eat three meals a day with two healthy snacks thrown in (fruit or other)
(A glass of orange juice could use up all the fruit you need)
Reduce salt intake increase water intake
Portion control – protein should be the size of your fist, vegetables that are steamed or boiled unlimited.
Reduce carb intake at night
Variety of foods – if your meal is colorful it is normally balanced
Other dietary facts: Protein is not necessarily found only in meat. There are other options out there.
All meals should have vegetable and salads as the focus.
