It’s all about baby steps.
First you educate yourself on the nutritional and caloric value of all foods. THEN, you cut back even by just a couple hundred calories a day and THEN you start MOVING a little more. Park your car farther away from the store, walk around the block, research local hiking and bike trails and just GO out for a 10 minute walk or bike ride.
After a few weeks when you see the scale going down, even a pound or two, there is your motivation!
The law of physics, an object in motion STAYS in motion and an object at REST stays at rest!
Get your object in motion again!
Find a workout and diet buddy, even of you run an ad on Craigslist in “strictly platonic” and match up a few days a week to get together with a motivational buddy.
Positive results “feed” on themselves and once you start dropping the weight you are in competition with yourself. Seeing those numbers go down and feeling great is positive reward for your efforts.
You CAN allow yourself a cheat day or two, but once you are feeling better and losing you will not crave the crap you once did. You will eat that greasy burger and immediately feel sick and get the runs! lol
Just DO IT!
There is no magic moment here, it is hard work but hard work does pay off!
