What would you put in a display cabinet in a kitchen not made for dinnerware?

“Great Question” (0points)

In the kitchen of a house , backed up to the kitchen counter top and facing the living area, made of wood is a display cabinet attached to the kitchen counter at the back of both. It has glass shelves and sixteen glass “windows” for viewing what is inside the cabinet. What would you put in it ? This is like a curio cabinet but, instead of being narrow and tall, it’s about 9 feet long and 4 feet high. I was thinking (and dreaming of ) a cut glass collection.

Spices, decorative plates, animal skulls left over from stock-making.

Antique kitchen items.

I would love to have something like that to display my collection of coffee mugs.

@ragingloli I loved the idea of ‘animal skulls left over from stock making’; the mental picture of a boar’s skull, with those ‘tusks’ being too big for the door of this splendid cabinet being closed properly . . .
What about coloured glass, either bottles or glasses as the colours are usually really strong?

The cranberry glass items were just delicious! OMG !

Ha ha, @loli, I used to have a pair of cat skulls in my kitchen. I used then as incense burners. Found them under my house while doing repairs.

Ok so I eat meat because I am lazy, but when I think too much about it I get grossed out. The idea of eating a dead animals flesh is just not… cool to me (for lack of a better word), let alone displaying it’s dead body like a trophy. But, I digress… :\
I like the idea of glass and porcelain, but you could also put small sculptures of wood or stone to make it less cold and more warm. Or a combination. I also think having a display of “found art” would be neat too.
