Apparently Ariel Castro, the guy who kidnapped and held those three women in Cleveland for ten years, hung himself in his prison cell last night. Is this justice? Is this a good outcome?
This doesn’t say much for the security of the prison system in the state of Ohio, that’s for sure.
My views:
1) he didn’t do this alone. Someone somehow either hung him, or threatened him to hang himself. I didn’t see him as suicidal.
2) He death saved the State hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars. He was going to be incarcerated until he died. Look at the money that’s to be saved.
3) The women – the victims – now have some closure. Good for them. They can move on with their lives.
