Posture is huge. You already mentioned it, but I want to expand on it. Girls especially it can be tranformational. Good posture, shoulders down, women look confident, elegant, appearance of a longer neck, thinner torsoe, posture is so much packaged in one. Not to mention standing straight helps build core and back strength.
Oh, core strength, overall strength, I was physically stronger than most of my peers from dance. Flexibility too. All of it can help prevent injury.
Grace. This goes with posture. When I do zumba, in a room full of people, people always comment on how well I dance, even though I can’t keep up anymore because of my muscle problems and lack of stamina. It is all about standing straight, knowing how to use your arms, and extension.
Dance lets you know where you are in your space. That teacher correcting your point, turning your feet the write way, putting your arms a little forward, you take that with you all sorts of things. All sorts of sports. Diving, swiming, soccer, all of it.
I think all children she take dance, at least try it. It has helped me in some many ways, and ai love it, and I love music.
