New Yorker's, have you renewed your basic STAR exemption and did you know the date to do so has been extended to 3/31/14?
NYS has a basic real estate tax exemption for all residences that cuts your school taxes, but it had to be renewed this year. If you don’t do it by the deadline you lose the exemption this year. Just wanted to make sure our NY jellies knew this.
