You solve this by moving terms from one side of the ”=” to the other, so that you have the “x” terms on one side, and the integers on the other side. Remember that when a term goes from one side to the other, it changes sign (i.e. if it’s a positive term it becomes negative, and vice versa). Once you’ve done this, the answer should become apparent.

5x-2x = 3+3
3x = 6
x=2
