When someone says 'Use Bridging' in a networking context, do they mean Windows adapter bridging or Router bridging?

I am trying to setup a VPN which allows UDP packets to be broadcasted from a LAN game on the host’s server to the connected VPN users. They’re not being broadcasted obviously because they are on different subnets due to the VPN, which is why I am always being suggested to use ‘Bridging’ but that is the extent of the help I get. I know there are multiple ways the term ‘bridging’ is used, as in an adapter context and a router configuration context. My question is, which one is going to get the job done?
