Do you think that The Big Bang Theory TV Show is banned in China?

I was reading tonight’s Vanity Card and this is Chuck Lorre’s claim.
If this is so, why do you think the Chinese government would censor Sheldon et al?

I just read about it. If I had just guessed I would have answered that I don’t think it was banned, but it looks like it was. One article suggested because the show was so popular it was pulling viewers away from local broadcasting networks. I thought maybe there might be objection to the references to sex in the show, but nothing I read said that. The show is not very sexual, but little bits of joking around about it.

I can’t say I’ve ever paused to contemplate the Big Bang Theory’s broadcast status in China.

If you ask me China is doing its people a favor by banning the Big Bang Theory. That show is absolute garbage.
