The one where the US is kicked out of the competition by Ghana.
Even a German trainer will not save you.

I always look forward to the World Cup, and this one in particular is important to me since it is likely to be Miroslav Klose’s last go—he’s one of the athletes that got me into football, and I’m generally not a fan of sports at all.

I always look forward to watching Germany (my team) and Japan (my underdog team) play, but I watch quite a few of the matches if I can wake up on time for them. Brazil will certainly be easier for me to manage than the previous two cups.

26 June 2014 13:00, Match 45, United States will trounce Germany so badly that the Oktoberfest is cancelled because the beer is diluted by tears, and football is never played along the Rhine again.

I’m all sported out after my hockey team lost and isn’t going for the Stanley Cup. I don’t even know any soccer teams, besides the ones from Ireland and Scotland.

@zenvelo
Ha, you wish.
Even if, and that is an if so big, rivalling the pink unicorn, the colonials beat the fatherland, it will be because of the german trainer. So in essence, germany would be beating itself.
Just like your space programme was a german space programme, because without von Braun, it would have failed.

Also, Oktoberfest is eternal.

As always, I can’t wait for it to begin, been a four yearly highlight ever since I was a kid.
As an England supporter, I have no real expectations going into this tournament & will enjoy it all the more because of it. Nothing to lose mentality & will be more than happy with a quarter final appearance & build for the euros in 2016.

We have a good mix of experience, Gerrard/Lampard/Rooney, combined with a genuine pool of young talent, Barkley/Sterling/Oxlade Chamberlain. Although the latter got injured playing against Ecuador in Miami last night.

I’d single out Ross Barkley as one to watch for us, he’s only 20, but has bags of pace & skill, he’s a game changer & could be the surprise package of this world cup.
I love watching most of the countries play, nowt like placing a bet on a good game & sinking a few beers, my flags will also be unfolded once again.

I love the World Cup. Always cheer for the US. For better of for worse.

No. Because:
1. I suck at soccer rules. There are things in soccer that I don’t understand. I remember cheering for two teams at once the other day.
2. My country isn’t there.
3. I have more things to do this summer.
4. I still don’t remember the name of most soccer players.
5. Watching World Cup mean having to stay up all night (due to the time zone). My parents won’t approve of it. And it’s counterproductive to me too.
