@ezraglenn: it wasn’t a digital one. It was this. I just realized that i never really read the question

As for a modern equivalent of a holga, you can get special lenses for DSLR cameras but those are pretty expensive

Try spreading a little mineral oil on a cheap ND filter. Works on just about rig.
