You mean the Feds? I think most states aren’t allowed to run a deficit. i can’t believe Obama actually stated that the government will never have to raise the debt limit again.

@stanleybmanly I think that every time it happens the president says that it would never happen again.

It’s difficult to say, since it depends on revenues, which may not be consistent. A quick google didn’t give me any dates. I can say that it’s certainly not true, we’ll have to raise it again. It’s still in place, nothing has changed that (despite calls to get rid of it since all it does is lead to stupid confrontations and the possibility of wrecking the world economy). What Obama has said is that he will never negotiate around it again, though, and I believe that. But that’s quite a different thing.
