I’m pretty good at most kinds of whispering, animal and people. I seem to be able to put both at ease.I don’t know where it came from.

I calm cashiers. For some reason I tend to be the next in line after an unruly customer. I give the cashier an understanding look to let her know I’m on her side. This gives the cashier a chance to vent and let it all out. I listen, then we crack jokes. I have the cashier smiling by the time my transaction is complete.
